This is one of the oldest professional art institutions in Ukraine

History

The school was founded in 1896 by the decision of the Kharkiv City Duma on the basis of the private art school of M. Ivanova-Raevskaya.

The school began its work in a new room in 1912, in a specially built room, a characteristic stylistic feature of which was the Art Nouveau style, with the actual effects of the old Ukrainian construction (1911-1912, architect K. Zhukov).

The first director of the school was a student of IE Repin – Alexander Lyubimov (1879-1955), and teachers – graduates of the Repin workshop of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, invited to Kharkov.

The work on the organization of the educational process at the Kharkov Art School is based on the artistic and teaching activities of MD Raevskaya-Ivanova (1840-1912), the city art school and the creative principles of the Russian Academy of Arts.

From 1913 the school was headed by S. Prokhorov, who at one time headed the art drawing school in Tomsk; from 1914 the school was headed by G. Gorelov, from 1916 – the outstanding domestic artist and teacher of art disciplines A. Kokel (1880-1956).

In the period from the late 50’s to 2000’s of the twentieth century. the school was headed by GS Korobov, an honored artist, a famous artist.

Today the school is headed by a young director, energetic and creative artist K. Yu. Savchenko, who leads the school on the path of reforms and improvement of its creative and educational work.

From the time of its organization to this day, the school provides fundamental knowledge in the field of drawing and painting, arts and crafts and design, the history of fine arts.

From the first hours of the school’s work, students from 45 provinces of the then Russian Empire studied there, during the Soviet era and still students from almost all known parts of Ukraine study at the school.

In total, the school has more than 300 students.

Volyn has long been famous for its forests, lakes, flooded rivers and diverse wildlife. The real beauty of Volyn is its north-western part, in which the Shatsk district is located. This picturesque corner is rightly considered a fabulous collection of forest landscapes and the edge of lakes, which are called the blue eyes of Volhynia for their purity. It is here that Shatsk Forest College is located. V. Sulka (formerly Shatsky Forest Technical School), founded in 1963.

In 2006 the technical school was reorganized into Shatsk Forest College. V. Sulka and now he trains foresters, foresters and accountants for the needs of various regions of Ukraine. In the same year, the Cross was consecrated on the territory of the college and a cornerstone was laid for the construction of a chapel in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Tatiana – the patron saint of students. And in October 2009, the temple of future professionals was consecrated.

The successful work of the college is facilitated by a full-fledged material base.

The decoration of the college and the research base for internships by students is the arboretum. More than four hundred species of trees and shrubs are found in its territory. Among them are rare and exotic. These are ginkgo biloba, pseudotsuga Menzisa, eastern biota, Siberian cedar, Amur velvet, magnolia cobus and others.

Forest nurseries are called the cradle of the forest, because it is from them that our forests begin. The forest nurseries of the college with the area of ​​1.5 hectares are created for acquisition by students of practical skills, mastering of technologies of cultivation of seedlings and saplings of various wood and bush breeds. Every year, the state forestry receives up to 50,000 seedlings and saplings from the forest nursery, and towns and villages – planting material for landscaping.

We are sure that real specialists of the forest industry will come out of the walls of our educational institution, who will continue the glorious traditions of foresters of Ukraine.

For seven decades, the Chertkov Regional Pedagogical School. A. Barvinsky trained more than ten thousand teachers for the educational needs of the region and the region.

The main tasks of the educational activity of the school are:
