The overall length of the spindle is 70mm, and has an 8mm diameter.
This electrically operated spindle is a fantastic new idea allowing you to have door entry
Control without the need for electric strikes or lock upgrades.

It simply replaces your existing spindle (also known as the 'follower'), making it an exceptionally simple yet ingenious idea.

The electric spindle works on the basis that access should be restricted from the outside, but free to operate from the inside, thus removing any issue of fail-locked or fail-unlocked.

When unpowered, the one half of the spindle moves independently of the other.
Then when power is applied (6-12v AC or DC), it initiates a bond within the gear housing seen on the spindle,
allowing the two ends to move together rigidly as one, and thus allowing the handle to operate the latch.

NB: we advise against using this spindle in locking systems, which require a lift-action from the outside as seen on much uPVC multipoint lock
