Fail secure and fail safe what does it mean?
- Fail secure means that if the power is interrupted or fails, the door stays locked. … So a fail secure lock, locks the door when power is removed
- Fail safe means that if the power is interrupted or fails, the door stays open… So a fail safe lock, unlocks the door when power is removed

The Diax range of S series strikes, offer a com- plete line of symmetrical strikes – being non- handed, they will operate equally well on left or right hand opening doors.
Each strike includes a built-in varistor to prevent back emf, and can be tted to any of the CDVI mortice or surface faceplates.
Each strike is supplied complete with a TG stainless steel faceplate. An optional M faceplate with provision to accept a deadbolt is available.
