Fail secure and fail safe what does it mean?

Fail secure means that if the power is interrupted or fails, the door stays locked. … so, a fail secure. lock, locks the door when power is removed

Fail safe means that if the power is interrupted or fails, the door stays open… so, a fail-safe lock, unlocks the door when power is removed.

The diax range of s series strikes, offer a com- plate line of symmetrical strikes – being non- handed, they will operate equally well on left- or right-hand opening doors.

Each strike includes a built-in varistor to prevent back emf and can be fitted to any of the cdvi mortice or surface faceplates. 

Each strike is supplied complete with a tg stainless steel faceplate. an optional m faceplate with provision to accept a deadbolt is available.
